Who We Are

Eva Ahlner - Co-founder

Eva is a Chemical Engineer, Polymer Technology, (Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm), with further training in environmental analysis, strategic business intelligence, financial accounting and management control.

During the past 15 years Eva has been working with R&D and policy development for a low-waste sustainable society. She has a long and extensive experience in innovative research, business strategies, legislation and other measures to increase resource efficiency and reduce climate impact – emerging global challenges.

She has been working as a consultant for the EU Commission (DG Research), as an assisting Technology and Science Attaché at the Swedish Embassy in Washington DC (Swedish Technical Attaché System) and a senior policy analyst in the field of climate change and sustainable development at the Swedish Embassy in Tokyo
(The Swedish agency for growth policy analysis). She has served as Chairman of several International environmental expert and policy committees.

As a research engineer at Ericsson she was involved in developing new optic devices for short haul communication and is currently engaged in the search for new green ICT products and services for a low carbon society.

 

Helen Ågren – Co-founder

Helen has a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, (Stockholm University) and she is also trained in communication and leadership.

For almost 20 years Helen has worked with sustainable development issues in a cross sectoral and interdisciplinary context. Her professional experience span issues such as: policy and funding of applied research, strategies and tools for sustainable development, resource and energy efficiency and sustainable production and consumption. She has long experience of designing conferences, seminars and educational activities.

International cooperation and negotiations have been a substantial part of her professional career and she has worked for and monitored international organisations in Copenhagen (Nordic Council of Ministers), Brussels (EU) and Geneva (UN). In combination with positions of trust in the Public Sector and for Non-Governmental Organisations, her work has given her the opportunity to build comprehensive national and international networks.

Helen has been Chairman of the Council for Sustainable Development, appointed by the Swedish Government, and she has worked for regional and national public authorities and for the Government Offices of Sweden.
